Posting Instructions

There are three ways to post your work as a part of 10 Year Promise Pingxie Exchange.

The first is only available if you're signed up for the exchange and you want to post your assignment:

1. Start posting new work as usual
2. In the "associations" part of posting, mark the box for your 10 Year Promise assignment next to "Does this fulfil a challenge assignment"


3. Post your work! All done!

The second is possible both to post your assignment (although the first method is easier!) and to post a treat. You don't have to be signed up for the exchange to post a treat, although you do need an ao3 account.

1. Start posting new work as usual
2. Fill out the collection name (10yearpromise) next to "Post to Collections/Challenges" and your recipient's name next to "Gift this work to":


3. Post your work! All done!

The third, also available to everyone, directly from the collection page.

1. Go to the collection page on AO3
2. Click "post to collection"
3. The collection field is now automatically filled in for you: the thing that remains is to write in your recipient's name next to "Gift this work to"


4. That's it! All done!

Other important things:

• Your work will only be visible to you and the mods until the reveals. That's how it should be! If you added your work to the collection, but it's publicly visible, please contact the mods as soon as possible.
• The exchange collection is moderated, which means a mod will need to approve your work before it becomes a part of the collection. It may take some time - don't worry about it. Your work is still unrevealed from public while it's awaiting approval.
• Your unrevealed work will not be visible on your AO3 profile even to you. If you wish to edit it, you have to go to your statistics page and find the link to it there (https://archiveofourown.org/users/YOURNAME/stats). Once your work is approved, you will be able to see it in the "works in collection" part of your work list (https://archiveofourown.org/users/YOURNAME/works/collected)
• AO3 does not host art. This means that you will need to upload your art somewhere else (imgur, tumblr drafts, etc. -- don't post it on your public twitter or a tumblr post, as it's supposed to be a secret until the reveals). To post it on AO3, right click on your uploaded art and choose "copy image location". On AO3, write: <img src="IMAGE_URL" width=100%>, replacing IMAGE_URL with the copied image location. That's it!
